For Master's Students
Master's scholarships are typically $20,000-$30,000
- Significant Scholarships: Duke CEE provides scholarships for all competitive students – typically ranging from $20,000-$30,000 More about our master's programs
- Application Fee Waiver: To prevent finances from being a barrier to applying, we will waive the graduate school application fee for eligible students
- Diversity Scholarships: Students from underrepresented groups may receive up to 50 percent per year in tuition scholarships. Additionally, up to $10,000 per year may be allocated for the student to gain experience in a research setting under the direction of a principal investigator (PI). Learn more

For PhD Students
PhD students are fully funded
- Full Funding: PhD students receive 100 percent funding support, plus conference and travel support, for the duration of their studies (contingent on demonstrated progress toward the degree)
- Application Fee Waiver: To prevent finances from being a barrier to applying, we will waive the graduate school application fee for eligible students
- Dean's Graduate Fellowships: Students from underrepresented groups may receive a stipend during their first two years of study. Learn more

- External Research Fellowships: We also encourage all PhD students to apply for competitively awarded research fellowships
