About Aubrey E. Palmer

Aubrey E. Palmer was among the most loved and respected Duke School of Engineering faculty members.

He taught at Duke for over 37 years, touched many lives, and encouraged, challenged and motivated hundreds of engineering students. He died in 1981 at age 69.

Names of the winners of this award since its establishment in 1980 are inscribed on a plaque displayed in Hudson Hall.
