Generally, these experiences fall into two categories:
After you’ve made contact with a faculty member who shares your research interests, you’ll create an independent study plan that outlines the work you’ll do during your study.
As you put together your plan, consider the advice that you complete one independent study course over two semesters, with 0.5 units in each.
Then, you’ll need to apply.
The next step is to submit your plan formally.
To apply, download and complete the CEE Independent Study Form. Submit it to the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
When your study plan is approved and final, you’ll enroll in an independent study course.
